Three more design awards for Kati Meyer-Brühl

Awards follow nominations: the German Design Council had already nominated Kati Meyer-Brühl’s designs deep space, grace and les copains as potentially award-winning, they have now also been honoured with German Design Award 2016 – Special Mentions. This brings the total number of awards received by the designer this year up to ten.
deep space is a sofa that is as curved as it is elegant; its comfort and individual customisability give the piece a high aesthetic value and also make it outstandingly practical and functional. The les copains string chairs can also be individually customized, and the handcrafted string weaving gives these pieces a unique, homely charm. Both models have already won several international awards. The armchairs and sofas of the grace range, which was launched this year, are designed in a reduced and graceful way that communicates a feeling of clarity, lightness and well-balanced proportions yet is also outstandingly comfortable to sit on.

All three designs are characterised by a high degree of adaptability, versatile usability and an inimitable design language and outstanding finish. They are manufactured using environmentally compatible and sustainable methods and materials and have a particularly long life cycle. deep space’s covers are removable, grace also comes in a version with removable covers. The les copains string weaving is particularly durable but can even also be renewed, if required.
