German Design Award 2018

Her design floret glory was accorded a “Special Mention” award, and easy pieces metal declared a “Winner”.

With its soft organic curves, floret glory is far more than just a sofa: it is also convertible and can become either a daybed or a cosy lounging area as the two separate sofa elements can be arranged in different constellations to form a linear seating area, a corner suite or a generously-sized sleeping area. The armrests can be lowered, which again increases the number of conversion options. The sofa’s S-shaped outline also offers varying seat depths.

easy pieces metal, on the other hand, represents a return to the elemental components of a sofa or armchair: a base frame and upholstered cushions. The design’s characteristic charm is a result of the synergy between an intentionally delicate looking, straight-lined base frame and the relaxed, soft voluminousness of the upholstery. The material properties set additional accents: the base frame is available in chrome or powder-coated in black and the upholstery comes with either fabric or leather covers. The reduced design emphasises the surface textures as well as the outstanding craftsmanship and the well-balanced proportions.

Both designs have durable insides made from eco-friendly materials and removable covers.
