Kati Meyer-Brühl wins with easy pieces and bongo bay lounge

The easy pieces sofas and armchairs received the award in the “Winner” category; bongo bay lounge won in the “Selection” category. The German Design Council honours particularly successful, innovative solutions with an Iconic Award.

New versions that unlock a host of additional options and layouts have recently been added to the multi-award winning range easy pieces – a design of ingenious simplicity. easy pieces consists of just two basic components: a graceful steel tube frame and opulent cushions. This is the second time that Kati Meyer-Brühl has won an Iconic Award for bongo bay. This year, the award went to the newly developed bongo bay lounge – a striking open-end design that can be used as a standalone sofa or as part of a suite. Thanks to the curved lines, two open-end sofas fit seamlessly together. bongo bay lounge is covered all over and features accentuating seams, both indications of brühl’s high level of craftsmanship. The generous 180cm wide seat offers plenty of comfort and is also long enough to lie down on.

Soft waves of voluminous cushions: bongo bay lounge invites you to get cosy. The chaise lounge – with the open end either on the left or on the right – works as a striking standalone piece and can also be added to other arrangements to create a customised suite. bongo bay lounge is covered all over and features accentuating seams, both indications of a high level of craftsmanship. The generous 180 cm wide seat offers plenty of comfort and is also long enough to lie down on; the sofa also has removable covers.
